Welcome New Vendors

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Catawba Fresh Market (CFM)! CFM is a program of the Catawba Farm and Food Coalition (CFFC). CFFC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to support and grow the food system in Chester, Fairfield, Lancaster, Union, York Counties and the Catawba Indian Nation.

The market is supported by numerous partners including Clemson Extension, Eat Smart Move More Chapters, South Carolina Department of Agriculture, USDA-Rural Development, South Carolina Food Hub Network, AmeriCorps VISTA, and local county  and municipal governments.

Getting Started

First, you will need to create a free farmer account here.

After you register Catawba Fresh Market staff will contact you to set up an introductory meeting and a tour of your farm or place of business if needed.  During this meeting we will have you sign our "Vendor Agreement" and obtain copies of licenses and/or permits (if needed).  You can visit the SC Department of Agriculture website to see if the product you would like to sell requires a license and/or permit here.

Once approved you can begin to add your inventory to the website.  Products sold on the site under your business or farm name MUST be either grown, baked, or produced by YOU. You cannot purchase produce or products from another farm and resell unless prior approval from CFM staff.  You set your own prices, keeping in mind fair market value.   Don't forget to add a photo and a complete description of each product (including any certifications such as organic, etc.).

The Order Process: How it Works

Customers can order anytime - 24/7, 365 days a year.  There is no charge to be a customer but registration is required.  Orders must be placed by 2:00 PM on Wednesdays for delivery the next day (Thursday).  Any order received after 2:00 PM on Wednesdays will be delivered the following week.

Currently, delivery takes place on Thursdays to these locations. Since the order is already paid for, customers simply have to walk into their desired pick-up location and pick-up their order.  Orders will be in bags labeled with their name and kept cool in either a cooler with ice or a refrigerated unit if needed.

The Delivery Process: How it works

All orders for the week must be brought to a selected Vendor Drop Off site (see below) between 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM on Thursday mornings. Orders should be customer ready, packed separately in appropriate bag/box/etc. with the customer's name on the clearly labeled.

Payment Process: How it works

You are responsible for setting your prices. The price you set for an item in the system is the full amount you will receive for that item.  In our new software, CFM will mark-up the item to cover marketing, delivery, and website maintenance.  So the price the customer sees will be a little higher than the price you enter in the system.

Currently, checks are cut once a month. Checks are mailed to you by the 10th of the month for the previous month sales.
